Specific Questions About Our Puppies
How much are the puppies?
Our puppies are priced at $3500 (+GST) and are placed on the limited register. There is no price difference between males, females or various colours. If you are seeking a puppy to join you on a breeding basis on the Main Register please contact us and we will discuss your situation.
What comes with a puppy when purchased?
Your puppy needs to be at least 8 weeks old before it can move in with you. At this stage it will have had one round of vaccinations, be micro-chipped, and come with registration papers. You will also receive it's pedigree, it's favourite toy and a puppy care guide to help you get started.
How do I secure a puppy on a waiting list?
If you are placed on a waiting list for a puppy from a litter that is not available yet, you will simply need to pay a deposit to secure the puppy in preparation for when it turns 8 weeks old.
How do I get a puppy?
If you wish to welcome one of our puppies into your home you are welcome to either come and collect your new friend in person or arrange with us for it to be flown to your location.

Are the puppies safe with kids and other pets?
Absolutely! Labradors are known to be a very loving breed, and on top of this the puppies raised here at Alinjarra are exposed to cuddles with children right from the day they are born. They also grow up alongside our pet cat and other farm animals such as cows, horses, and sheep. They therefore should be comfortable around your own children and pets as they are extremely well socialised (though it is up to you to continue building this socialisation when you get home).
General Questions About Labradors
Are Labradors good pets?
Labradors are renowned for their compassionate and loving nature. They are brilliant companions and are more than happy to be either a lap dog snuggled up against you or motivate you to get active with lots of play. They are great with children as most are very patient and are really just gentle giants.
Before the age of 2 most Labradors are quite active as they are still young, so please keep in mind that if purchasing a puppy they need a little more attention compared to buying an older dog.

What is Hip/Elbow Dysplasia?
Labrador Retrievers are prone to getting a genetic condition called Dysplasia in their Hips and Elbows. This condition occurs when the elbow or hip joints develop abnormally, leading to uneven pressure on the bones which causes the eventual development of osteoarthritis and possible fractures in these places. In order to avoid this condition breeders are required to take their dogs to be tested and their hips and elbows scored. If a dog has a low score then it is likely that it's puppies will not develop Dysplasia and is able to be bred from, whilst if it has a high score it is not allowed to breed - therefore minimising the risk of puppies developing the condition. However, even parents with hip/elbow scores of zero can produce puppies with this condition, so we can never 100% guarantee that a puppy will have no medical issues. All Alinjarra dogs have received Elbow and Hip Scores, to see these please browse through the Studs and Females pages.
